Maximum boost pressure
50 Compressor
50/1 Pressure damper (charge air)
50/2 Recirculated air line
110/1 Suction pipe
110/2 Charge air cooler
110/6 Charge air line

M16/7 Air recirculation flap actuator
a Recirculated air flap closed
The supercharger is permanently driven over a poly-V-belt by the crankshaft.
The charge pressure is controlled by the recirculated air flap actuator which is located at the intake/recirculated air opening of the supercharger.
If the air recirculation flap is closed, the engine will have the full boost pressure made available to it.
The recirculated air flap is always closed at full load.
P09.50-2045-82
Regulated boost pressure
50 Compressor
50/1 Pressure damper (charge air)
50/2 Recirculated air line
110/1 Suction pipe
110/2 Charge air cooler
110/6 Charge air line
122 Suction damper (intake air)
M16/7 Air recirculation flap actuator
b Recirculated air flap open
If the recirculated air flap is opened, the boost pressure air is guided back via the recirculated air line to the compressor.
The air recirculation flap can be adjusted continuously from 0 to 90° and can regulate the boost pressure over the recirculated air line.
