Functions in the case of ignition ON:

Supplying voltage to fuel injection and ignition system (hot film engine management) (HFM-SFI) through the overvoltage protection relay (K1/2), base module (N16/1), relay module (K40), fuse and relay module (F1) or the fuse and relay module (K40/4).

Actuating the fuel pump for about 1 s as a full running protection (audible).
An engine start must have taken place, however, before repeated actuation of the fuel pump.

Indicator lamps in instrument cluster should come on (bulb check).

In the case of ignition ON, data transfer through the CAN data bus (e.g. for drive authorization).

If the fuel pump does not run, first check the fuses on overvoltage protection relay (K1/2), base module (N16/1), relay module (K40) or fuse and relay module (K40/4) or (F1) for the power supply to HFM-SFI control module as well as the fuse for the fuel pump.
