| Remove and install | ||
Instructions on removal and installation of cabin were based on vehicle 688.133. These same procedures shall be observed to remove and install the cabin o other similar vehicles.
All self-locking nuts removed during cabin removal work shall be replaced.
1 | Turn off the general key or battery negative cable | Disconnect the battery negative cable by releasing its end secured to the chassis frame. Prevent the disconnection of the negative cable end secured to the battery terminal.
2 | Remove the internal engine hood (inside the cabin) | Install: If necessary, replace the fittings.
3 | Remove the fastening screws (2.1), the clamp (2.2), and completely remove the air filter (2) | Only vehicles equipped with turbocharger.
4 | Remove the intake pipe (6) of the air filter (2) to the turbocharger | Install: Check the flexible hoses (6.1) the clamps (6.2) and, if necessary, replace them.
5 | Remove the after-cooler (5) | Vehicles with motor 374.981.
6 | Remove the radiator (4)
7 | Disconnect the pneumatic lines (9.1) from gantries 11 and 12 of the pedal valve (9) | Mark each line (9.1) identifying its respective assembly positions in the pedal valve to further connect them in the same positions
In vehicles with hydraulic brake with support to vacuum, disconnect the vacuum line.
8 | Loosen the flexible line (10) of hydraulic pump to the filter
9 | Loosen the casing oil line and remove the line with the filler neck (3)
Danger! | Safety Instructions referring to the brake fluid
10 | Disconnect the brake flexible lines (11) from the front axle (left and right sides) and the fluid line to the rear axle | Disconnect the fluid line to the rear axle in the line connection located in the right side, next to the cabin rear pad.
Collect the brake fluid in a proper container to dispose according to environmental protection standards.
Install: Add fluid in the tank to establish the correct fluid level and bleed the brake system.
11 | Disconnect the electrical harness of brake pad wear indicator (12) from the left and right front wheels | Cut the plastic clamps.
Install: Secure the electrical harness with new plastic clamps.
12 | Disconnect the return flexible lines (15) of steering hydraulic fluid to the filter
13 | Loosen the crosshead (13) of connection to the steering spindle to the hydraulic steering gear housing (14) | Install: Carefully fit the crosshead joint in the groove of steering spindle, observing the correct alignment of wheels and flywheel.
| |||
14 | Disconnect the flexible line (16) of clutch slave cylinder (19.1) | The clutch hydraulic slave cylinder is located next to the exhaust manifold, between the gearbox and clutch.
Install: Bleed the clutch drive hydraulic system.
15 | Remove the sealing (18) and disconnect the speedometer cable in the combustion-chamber relief in the gearbox (17) | Install: Seal again the speedometer cable.
16 | Disconnect the hooter electrical cables
17 | Loosen the throttle cable of the pedal mechanism
18 | Disconnect the main harness connection (22) and turn off the cabin mass cable
19 | Disconnect the idle gear cable in the motor
20 | Disconnect the electrical cable in the oil pressure switch in the heat exchanger
21 | Disconnect the electrical cable in the temperature switch of coolant
22 | Loosen the front (24) and rear (20) rubber-metal block screws of the cabin | Install: Check the status of front (23) and rear (21) rubber-metal blocks and, if necessary, replace them.
| |||
Danger! | Risk of death while increasing the cabin under inappropriate manner. Risk of injury by imprisonment and crushing while tilting the cabin | Only use proper lifting equipment. Always check if the supports are safe. Never walk or remain below the cabin when it is lifted.
