1	Unscrew cap on fuel tank	 In this way the fuel can flow out of the fuel filter housing (5) back into the fuel tank.
 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. 3	Remove coolant pipe between coolant pump and oil-water heat exchanger	Only for engine 904.925/965	AR20.20-A-7450-02LA
4	Remove filter insert (3) and dirt collection vessel (4)	 In this way fuel flows out of the fuel filter housing (5) back into the fuel tank.  Installation: Check seal ring (2) and filter insert (3); replace if necessary. Clean the dirt collection vessel (4).

5	Remove fuel prefilter	Engine 904.925/965	AR47.20-A-1080LA
	Clean filter element of fuel prefilter	Engine 904.941:

6	Remove fuel feed line (10) and fuel return line (11) on fuel filter housing (5)	 Mark fuel lines to connecting points on fuel filter housing (5). Collect escaping fuel.
7	Detach the fuel lines (7, 12) at the fuel filter housing (5)	 Collect escaping fuel.
		 Installation: Replace sealing rings.

8	Detach fuel line (14) at the fuel filter housing (5)	only vehicles with flame starting system.
		 Collect escaping fuel.
		 Installation: Replace sealing rings.
9	Remove fuel filter housing (5)	 Collect escaping fuel.
		 Installation: Clean the fuel filter housing (5). Replace gasket (6).

10	Install in the reverse order
 Danger!	Risk of an accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 11	Start engine and bleed the fuel system	 Run engine for approx. 1 minute. The fuel system is bled automatically.
12	Check seal on all connecting points on fuel filter housing (5)	 Replace any damaged seals if necessary.
13	Turn off engine
