Danger

Risk of death from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury from pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Testing and repair work between the wheel and wheel arch or in the wheel well should only be performed if the vehicle is secured using suitable support fixtures to prevent it from lowering.
Adjustment operations should only be performed from underneath the vehicle.
Use only suitable support fixtures to secure the vehicle frame or vehicle axles in order to prevent them from lowering.
If necessary, additionally use suitable support fixtures in order to prevent other moving vehicle parts that are in the working area from lowering, or use suitable retaining devices to prevent these parts from moving suddenly and without warning.
Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

AS32.22-Z-0001-01A

1

Park the vehicle over a pit

Apply parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent that the vehicle moves accidentally.

2

Check the pneumatic pressure system of the vehicle for working conditions

.Minimum Pneumatic pressure in which ENR stops working in the front axle

Calibrate

3

Loosen the rod of all sensors in the lower fixing, and place the actuation arms of the sensors at the normal position

AR32.22-B-4000A

The calibration includes the adjustment of the three height levels controlled by the level sensors.

Lock the level sensors.

4

Connect the diagnosis equipment in the vehicle diagnostic connector

5

Access the HHT WIN

6

Access the electronic control unit EN1

7

Access "Activations" on the functions screen

8

Access "Electromagnetic valves test"

9

Access ”Front axle” on the “Activations” screen

10

Type F1 to put the vehicle at the “Normal height H1” and check the values of the table on the screen

.Front electropneumatic suspension, adjustment with the ENR (ECAS) system

*BE32.22-B-1008-01B

11

Access ”Front axle” on the “Activations” screen

12

Type F2 to put the vehicle at the “Normal height H2”

14

Type F2 to put the vehicle at the “Normal height H3”

.Intermediate electropneumatic suspension adjustment height, with ENR (ECAS) system

*BE32.22-B-1013-01B

15

Fasten the level sensor rods on the bottom fastening brackets.

16

Adjust the level sensor rods and tighten the adjusting nuts

Do not remove the sensor locks to avoid erroneous measuring.

17

With the diagnosis equipment switched on, check the values indicated on the screen, and read in Counts

Confirm on the screen the values displayed of each sensor and write them down on a separate sheet of paper.

18

Remove the sensor locks

In this position, the vehicle will be adjusted at the “Normal height H1 and H2".

19

Access again the “Front axle” in “Activations” and key-in F1 to lower the vehicle on the right side to the “Bottom height H1”

.Front electropneumatic suspension, adjustment with the ENR (ECAS) system

22

Put the vehicle again in the “Normal height” position

23

Put the vehicle at position of “upper height H1 and H2”

24

Access “Activations” and write down the values in Counts shown on the screen

25

Return to “Activations” and select “Parameterization”

26

Change the Parameter “7” to “3 Calibration Levels”

27

Return on the screen, and in “Functions”, activate “Level Calibration”

28

Enter the calibration values written down on the separate sheet

29

Select “Activations” and “Rear axle”

30

Access the screen “Calibration”, and in “Level adjust”

31

Access “Front axle adjust”

32

Insert the read values in Counts

33

Access the screen “Calibration”, and in “Level adjustment”

34

Access “Rear axle adjustment”

35

Insert the read values in Counts

36

Access the screen “Calibration”, and in “Level adjustment”

37

Access “Trailing axle adjustment”

38

Insert the read values in Counts

39

Return on the screen “Calibration”, access the screen “Level adjustment”

40

Access “Calibrate”, and type on “Enter”

The values will be transfered to the vehicle's electronic module.

With this operation the calibration is finished.

41

Turn on the ignition key and note the light on dashboard

After turning off and on the contact key, the suspension will adjust itself again.

If the light remains on:

Carry out the calibration again

42

After finishing the adjusting, disconnect the diagnosis equipment from the vehicle electronic control unit

43

Apply chemical seal in the nuts of the adjusting rods

Calibrating in a simplified way

44

Connect the diagnosis equipment in the vehicle diagnostic connector

The calibration in a simplified way eases the work in the cases that the vehicle already is with the sensors adjusted on the "Normal height".

The level sensors should be unblocked and with the rods adjusted.

45

Access the HHT WIN

46

Access the electronic control unit EN1

47

Select on the “Level calibration” screen and insert the calibration values from the table for the axles

.Front electropneumatic suspension, adjustment with the ENR (ECAS) system
