Warning | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

| Remove/install | ||
1 | Drain coolant from radiator.
Installation: Refill coolant.
Mixture ratio for coolant
2 | Remove de-aeration tank.
3 | Remove poly-V-belt. | ||
4 | Remove coolant hose (355) at radiator end by loosening the worm-drive clamp.
5 | Remove de-aeration tank hose (256) at deaeration tank other end by loosening the worm-drive clamp.
6 | Remove make up line (354) by loosening the worm-drive clamp of hoses at de-aeration tank, water pump assembly and at radiator bottom tank. | Radiator can be lifted along with make-up line pipe.
Makeup line to radiator
7 | Remove pipe carrier bolt (356) at radiator and two carriers on the vehicle frame.
8 | Remove fan and fan clutch from intermediate piece (364) and remove the viscous fan clutch mounting nuts (357) to intermediate piece.
Fan and fan clutch to intermediate piece
9 | Remove fan (25) and fan clutch. | Installation: Check fan to shroud clearance. Adjust shroud if required to get the vertical gap dimension of 25 mm and get horizontal gap dimension of 20 mm.
Tightening of fan nuts to fan clutch
10 | Remove fan shroud (358) by removing the nuts.
11 | Remove charge air cooler (CAC) pipe and hoses.
12 | Loosen condenser (359) clamp bolts on radiator and slide the condenser forward towards front of cab.
Condenser need not be removed for removal of radiator. If condenser is removed, need to refilling the gas in air conditioner.
Condenser mounting bolts
13 | Remove radiator and charger air cooler assembly (360) from the frame at the left hand side (LHS) and right hand side (RHS) of the radiator by removing the mounting bolts.
Avoid removing the side bracket mounting bolts it cause misalignment of the radiator and the charge air cooler.
Installation: Radiator RH mounting bracket to be located first and then align the LH side mounting bracket.
Radiator and charger air cooler assembly to vehicle
14 | Loosen the charge air cooler inlet pipe worm-drive clamp (363) and remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe (53) and inlet pipe (54) by removing the bolts from the radiator carrier. | Remove charger air cooler pipes only if any damages are found.
Charge air cooler outlet pipe and inlet pipe
15 | Remove charge air cooler (360) from radiator by removing the bolts from both left hand side (LHS) and right hand side (RHS) of radiator. | Radiator left hand side (LHS) support beam carrier is riveted to radiator.
