Warning | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
1 | Drain and collect the coolant | Install: Fill with coolant; see operating instructions.
2 | Remove the charge air tubes (1)
3 | Detach air intake hose on turbocharger (3)
4 | Remove exhaust pipe (10) on engine brake throttle connection (8) | Install: Clean the sealing surfaces.
5 | Detach the compressed air line (9) from the engine brake cylinder
6 | Remove thermal insulation (4) on turbocharger (3) and crankcase
7 | Detach the coolant piping form the turbocharger. | Install: Replace the sealing rings.
8 | Detach the oil return hose (7) from oil return line (6) | Collect the engine oil that flows out in an appropriate container.
9 | Detach the oil line under pressure (2) in the oil filter and the turbocharger (3) | Cap the opening on the turbocharger (3) and the crankcase.
Install: Before installing the pressure oil piping (2), fill the turbocharger bearing housing (3) with engine oil through the oil nozzle. Rotate the turbocharger shaft by hand during this step so that the bearing points are filled with an oil film. Install new seals.

12 | Remove the engine brake throttle (8) connection | Install: Install new nuts.
.Outlet manifold with engine brake mechanism to turbocharger
13 | Install in reverse order
14 | Check the engine oil level, if necessary, adjust to the correct level | Please see the Operating Instructions Manual
15 | Check the coolant level, if necessary, correct the level | Only engines with coolant piping in the turbocharger.
16 | Turn on the engine and pay attention to the oil pressure indicator while the engine is in idle speed
Please see the Operating Instructions Manual
The oil pressure must be shown after approximately 10 seconds.
.Engine oil pressure, minimum permissible
17 | Turn off the engine and check whether there are leaks
18 | Check cooling system for leakages | Only engines with coolant piping in the turbocharger. |
