4 | Disconnect electrical connectors (1a, 1b) | ||
5 | Remove jack for electrical connector (1b) on fuel distributor (2) | Installation: Install new tie straps. | |
6 | Remove right connector (R) at ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) | ||
7 | Detach ME control unit (N3/10) from right control unit bracket (3a) and from left control unit bracket (3b) and lay to one side | Do not remove left connector (L) at ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10). | |
8 | Remove the right control unit bracket (3a) | | |
9 | Remove feed line duct (4a) from cylinder head cover, resonance intake manifold and rear right motor suspension lug | | |

10 | Remove feed line duct (4b) from resonance intake manifold | | |
11 | Remove feed line duct (4c) from cylinder head cover | | |
12 | Detach rear left engine suspension lug (5) from cylinder head | | |
13 | Disconnect hoses on crankcase ventilation system (6a, 6b) | ||
14 | Remove electrical connectors at fuel injection valves (Y62) | ||
15 | Reduce fuel pressure with the pressure hose via service valve (2a) | ||
16 | Disconnect fuel line (7) from fuel distributor (2) | Catch escaping fuel with an absorbent rag! | |
Seal connections immediately with stop plugs . | |||

17 | Remove bolts (2b) and take off fuel distributor (2) with fuel injection valves (Y62) | Installation: Replace O-rings of the fuel injection valves (Y62). Apply liquid lubricant to O-rings. | |
