1

Insert the pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) into the valve guide (1) until the stop (arrow) of the pressure pliers (3) touches the valve guide

If necessary, tighten the pressure pliers (3) downwards with a screwdriver and screw the pilot up and down (8 mm Ø) (2) to the inserted mandrel.

2

Install the rotating head (4) in the boring machine (5)

The two hexagon socket screws (6) must be screwed loose.

3

Adjust the machining head (4) in such a way that the distance between the tooth bar and the opposite side is approximately 0.5 to 0.8 mm

4

Tighten the two hexagon socket screws (6)

Inlet valve swivel head / 20 D2°; exhaust valve swivel head D2/45°.

The tool driver (8) needs to move relatively easily, with the quick driver (9), moving in both directions.

5

Screw the bedame (7) onto the machining head

The bedame (7) must not hit the cylinder head, as the carbide insert may be damaged.

6

Position the boring machine (5) on the pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) until the stop pin (10) touches the pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) or the bedame (7) touches the cylinder head

The pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) must be applied with oil.

The bedame (7) must not hit the cylinder head, as the carbide insert may be damaged.

7

Turn quick setting (9) until the bedame (7) is over the center of the valve seat (11)

8

Hold the boring machine (5) and loosen the pressing screw (12) on the stop pin (10)

9

Carefully lower the boring machine (5) until the cut of the bed (7) rests in the middle of the valve seat (11)

10

Tighten the stop pin (10) against the pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) and screw the clamping screw (12)

11

Secure the oscillating guide (13) vertically in the center of the guide with ring pliers (14)

The boring machine (5) must rotate in the same way as before.

12

Make three markings on the valve seat (11) using a color marker (arrows) with approx. 120° travel

13

Raise the boring machine (5) and position the rotating bedame (7) by turning the quick actuation (9) next to the inner valve seat.

Do not apply additional cut.

14

Hold the grooved washer (15) before actuating the feed and turn the hand lever (16) clockwise

In this case, machining with irregular material removal is always shown.

15

After turning the bedame (7) with the quick adjustment (9) place it again next to the inner corner of the valve

16

Loosen the fixing screw (17) and turn the grooved washer (18) approximately 0.5 to 1 risk of splitting (arrow) counterclockwise

17

Tighten the pressure screw (17)

1st marker risk = additional 0.1 mm.

18

Hold the grooved washer (15) to actuate the advance, turn the hand lever (16) clockwise and turn the tip of the bedame (7) towards the outside of the valve seat

The removal of material must be carried out as many times (operations 13 and 14) until the valve seat is free of marks and the valve seat width (F) and valve seat Ø faces on the valve seat (G) are achieved.
The two inlet valve seats must be reworked to the same depth, the allowable difference between the two inlet valve stem ends cannot be exceeded.

19

Correct the external valve seat (11)

20

Lift the boring machine (5) and loosen the pressure screw (12) on the stop pin (10)

21

Turn the quick setting (9) so that the bedame (7) touches the outer corner of the valve seat

22

Carefully position the bedame (7) on the corner of the valve seat

23

Tighten the stop pin (10) down until it touches the pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) Tighten the pressure screw (12)

24

Loosen the fixing screw (17) and turn the grooved washer (18) approximately half of indicator risk (arrow) counterclockwise

25

Tighten the pressure screw (17)

26

Hold the levers with both hands and turn the boring machine (5) with light downward pressure in steps around the pilot (8 mm Ø) (2)

27

Repeat operations 19 and 20 until the required valve seat width is reached

28

Remove the boring machine (5)

The pilot (8 mm Ø) (2) must not be removed.
