1 | Warm up engine to operating temperature of approximately 80 °C | Test compression pressure only when engine is at normal operating temperature. | |

4 | Crank engine with starter | Crank engine several times to eliminate combustion residues in the cylinder. | |

5 | Insert compression tester set (2) into the spark plug bore of the first cylinder, crank engine with starter and read off measured value | Repeat test at all cylinders. Press the accelerator pedal. To check the compression pressure, crank the engine by at least eight revolutions. | |
