Short-circuit or cross-short in cable to kickdown switch.

Check cables and connections to closed throttle switch.

Replace closed throttle switch.

Replace kickdown switch.

Check cables and connections to kickdown switch for cross-short.

- Engine speed limiter inoperative.

- Power lamp does not illuminate at full load.

- Vehicle does not accelerate up to full speed at variable speed.

Kickdown switch has open-circuit.

Cable open-circuit to kickdown switch.

Replace kickdown switch.

Check cables and connections to kickdown switch.

Vehicle speed and engine speed limiter regulates in low and high group.

Group switch has open-circuit.

Cable open-circuit to group switch.

Replace group switch.

Check cable to group switch for open-circuit.

- Engine speed limiter inoperative.

- Power lamp does not illuminate at full load.

Group switch always has continuity.

Short-circuit or cross-short in cable to group switch.

Replace group switch.

Cable from speedometer sensor to tachograph has open-circuit or cross-short.

Tachograph inoperative.

Replace tachograph, if ingress of oil, check transmission vent.

Check cable to tachograph.

Replace tachograph.

Provide voltage supply.

Fault lamp does not extinguish.

Actuator motor has excessive power consumption.

With ignition switched on, check clearance on actuator motor.

Replace actuator motor.

Actuator motor has open-circuit or inter-turn-short.

Cable open-circuit or cross-short from control unit to actuator motor.

Control unit inoperative.

No voltage supply to control unit.

Replace actuator motor.

Replace control unit.

Provide voltage supply.

- Fault lamp does not extinguish.

- Engine speed limiter inoperative.

- Power lamp does not illuminate at full load.

Engine speed sensor always has continuity or open-circuit.

Cable open-circuit or cross-short in cable to engine speed sensor.

Replace engine speed sensor.

Check rotary shaft seal (refer to microfiche current information).

Check cable and connections to engine speed sensor.

- Fault lamp does not extinguish.

- Vehicle speed limiter inoperative.

Cable connection C3 on tachograph incorrect.

Green/red cable must be connected to tachograph.
