Risk of injury due to imprisonment and crushing while tilting the cabin

During the cabin tilting forward and backward, do no entry in the pitch area and take preventive measure to prevent the entrance of non-authorized persons. Always tilt the cabin to its final position and lock it with the safety device.

Tilt the cabin forward

Open the hood and lock it in open position

Clean the region of the steering gear housing.

Bleed the system hydraulic fluid

Remove the castle nut (11) and loosen the Pitman arm (4) of the tie rod (10)

Assemble: If the cotter pin hole (12) does not match the nut groove, tighten the nut a little bit more until it reaches the match. Never loosen the castle nut.



Loosen the castle nut (13) and remove the Pitman arm (4) of the tie rod (1)

To the steering gear housing ZF8090

Assemble: Align the splined by the identification marks in the arm and sector axle. Lock the nut in the sector axle groove.



Loosen the clamp and protective boot (8)

Only in series 693.0/1.

Loosen the fastening screw (6) of the universal joint from steering column (5)



Loosen and remove the pressure line (14) and the oil return pipe (15)

Cover the lines to prevent foreign objects intake.

Assemble: Use new sealing rings.

Loosen the three fastening self-locking nuts (3) of the steering gear housing (1) and remove the steering gear housing

Previously place a fastening device under the steering gear housing.

Assemble: Use new self-locking nuts.


