It is not allowed to smoke, to start fires, sparks, open flames. Only keep fuel in appropriate recipients duly correspondingly identified. When handling fuel, use appropriate protective equipment and clothes

Danger of accidents when tilting the cab

During back and forth cab tilting, stay away from tilting area and take preventive measures to avoid non-authorized people from entering tilting area. Always tilt the cab to its final opening position.

Loosen the vent plug (A)

On engines with filter without the vent, loosen the pump gallery outlet plug approximately 1/2 of one turn.

Drain the fuel by the drain plug opening (6)

Remove the filtering element (3) together with the transparent bowl (5) (there are filters without transparent bowl), and the sealing ring (2)

Remove the transparent cup (5) from the filtering element (3), and the sealing ring (4)

Installing

Clean the transparent cup (5) with Diesel oil

Only on fuel filters with transparent bowl

Tighten the drain plug (6)

Assemble the transparent bowl (5) in the new filtering element (3)

Only on fuel filters with transparent bowl

Moisten the sealing ring (4) with diesel fuel.

Install the assembly on the cylinder head (1) and tighten firmly with the hands

Fill with clean Diesel oil before installing it on the cylinder head.

Moisten the sealing ring (2) with diesel oil.

Bleed the fuel system

Risk of accidents due to vehicle unintentional rolling when the engine is started. Risk of injury by pinching and burn by contact during the starting procedure or with the engine running

Assure vehicle against unintentional move. Use tight fitting and closed work clothes. Do not touch heated or running parts.

Run the engine and check for fuel system tightness

On vehicles with advanced cab and, tilted, actuate the starter switch (7) to start the engine. To stop the engine, move the injection pump lever (8) to the stop position.

Return the cab to the drive position
