Function sequence

Locking with the radio frequency remote control on vehicles equipped for transport of hazardous goods according to GGVS guidelines

1 Prerequisites:
 Driver's and passenger doors closed

 Ignition: OFF.

2 Locking operation was started with "locking" button on radio frequency remote control (FFB) (1).

3 The FFB control module (A43) receives the "lock" signal and relays it to the ZV/KSA control module (A23).

4 The signal causes the ZV/KSA control module to actuate

 the GGVS control module (A5)

and

 the locking motors (M11 and M12) in the driver's and passenger doors

The locking motors move to the "locked" position locking the closed doors and switching off the interior lighting in the cab.

The GGVS control module switches off the entire power supply 10 s after completion of the locking operation by interrupting actuation of the battery separation switch.

 If one of the two doors is open when the locking operation is started, the closed door is locked, unlocked and locked again to indicate that the other door is open.

 If the passenger door is open, the locking command is stored and the passenger door is locked automatically when it is closed later.

 If the driver's door is open the locking command is not stored to protect against the driver locking himself out. For the driver's door the locking operation must be repeated after closing the door.

 A maximum of 10 s is available for closing the open driver's door and repeating the locking operation with the radio frequency remote control after completion of the first locking operation. After expiration of 10 s the GGVS control module interrupts the power supply so that it is only possible to lock the driver's door manually.
