 	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition
 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.	AS20.00-Z-0001-01A
2	Unscrew coolant drain plug from the radiator and drain coolant	 Collect coolant

3	Open front flap, slacken hose clamp (1) and detach coolant feed hose (2)
4	Remove instrument (INS)	Model 375.1 up to 31.8.02 with body 375.830 Model 375.3 up to 31.8.02 with body 375.810 Models 950.5/6, 952.5 /6, 953.6, 954.5 up to vehicle ident. end no. 587771 with body 940.899 Models 970, 972, 974, 975, 976 up to vehicle ident. end no. 587771 with body 972.899  Do not detach electric connectors, just place instrument cluster (INS) to the side. 5	Remove switch unit for heater/ventilation		AR83.20-W-1835A
6	Slacken Bowden cable retaining clamp (5) and detach Bowden cable (6)
7	Lever out fastening clamp (7) at heater regulating valve (8) in direction of arrow	 Counterhold using a suitable tool. Installation: Latch fastening clamp in regulating valve using a suitable pair of pliers.
8	Remove heater regulating valve (8)	 Clean sealing surface and check for damage. Installation: Replace seal.
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Inspect heater and ventilation for proper operation
