1 | Store parameters of the instrument cluster (P2) | Only required when the instrument cluster (P2) is replaced. | |
2 | Tilt the steering column towards the driver's seat | ||
3 | Remove cover (1) | Installation: Insert the retaining wedges on the cover exactly into the retaining clips. | |
4 | Unscrew mounting screws (arrows). | ||
5 | Pull instrument (P2) out of mounting. | ||
6 | Remove tie straps on the back of the instrument | ||
7 | Mark indicator lamp sockets (for special equipment) for subsequent identification and pull out indicator lamps. | Installation: The indicator lamps must not be confused. | |
8 | Identify connectors to instrument cluster (P2) and disconnect | Installation: The connectors must not be confused. | |
9 | Remove lead seal from plug cover on tachograph (P1) | Installation: this operation is to be carried out solely and exclusively by authorized individuals. | |
10 | Detach plug cover from tachograph (P1) | ||
11 | Mark connectors to tachograph (P1) and disconnect | Installation: The connectors must not be confused. | |
12 | Remove instrument (P2) | If the instrument is replaced: | |
Remove tachograph (P1) from defective instrument cluster (P2) and install the new instrument cluster (P2). | |||
13 | Install in the reverse order | ||
14 | Transfer parameters to the new instrument cluster (P2) | Only when the instrument cluster (P2) has been replaced. | |
15 | Initialize belt transfer ratio | Only when the instrument cluster (P2) has been replaced. | |
