1 | Work the engine until the pneumatic brake system reaches the working pressure and release parking brake | It is necessary for rear axles.
Vehicle should be on the leveled place and with wedges on wheels.
.Pressure regulator | |||
2 | Uncouple bifurcated rod (1) from automatic regulator (2) removing split pin (5) and articulation pin (3)
3 | Remove fastening nut (11) from command lever (9) and fastening nut (13) from support (12)
4 | Remove lock-ring (8) from the brake camshaft
5 | Remove spacer washer (7) and shim (6)
6 | Turn mechanical regulator screw (10) until that automatic regulator (2) is free from bifurcated rod (1) removing it after that
| Install | ||
7 | Install automatic regulator (2) in the brake camshaft with hexagonal adjustment part at opposite side to the brake actuator cylinder | It is necessary to pressurize the pneumatic tanks and release the parking brake to install the automatic regulator in the rear axle. Wheels must be wedged.
Lubricate the brake camshaft spline with long term grease.
During installation, the lever should be kept away from bifurcated rod. You can do that via mechanical adjusting screw.

8 | Assemble spacer washer (7) and shim (6)
9 | Assemble lock-ring (8) | Check the axial play of the brake camshaft, if necessary adjust it by shims.
.Compensating washers thickness
.Axial clearance of camshaft
10 | Align regulator lever holes (2) and bifurcated rod (1) | To get the holes alignment, turn the mechanical adjustment screw clockwise.
11 | Insert articulation pin (3), washer (4) and counter pin (5) | Lubricate the pin lightly.
