Detach brake value sensor connectors (2, 3)

 Only on vehicles with code (BB8) Brake control (BS) with ASR or with code (BB1) Brake control (BS).

Detach compressed-air lines (1)


Mark installation position of compressed air lines (1).

With "VOSS 230" compressed air connector

With "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6) compressed air connector

 Installation: Replace O-rings. Observe identifications of compressed air lines (1).



Notes on compressed air connection systems

Unplug tachograph sensor connector (X36).

 Push electrical line with rubber grommet (
7) through the mounting hole into the vehicle interior.

 Installation: Attach tamper-proof seal to tachograph sensor connector (X36).

Ensure that the rubber grommet (7) is seated correctly in the mounting hole.

Remove bracket (5)

Detach master cylinder (6) from pedal bracket (4)

 Only on vehicles without code (GE1) Automatic gear control (AGS) and without code (GE3) Mercedes PowerShift.

Pull master cylinder (6) with hydraulic line connected only out of pedal bracket (4) and tie to one side.

Detach pedal bracket (4) from firewall

 Installation: Check seal on pedal bracket (4) for damage, replace if necessary.



Install in the reverse order

Adjust brake pedal

Fill compressed air system until the shutoff pressure is reached

Check compressed air lines (1) for leaks
