Bleed the clutch operating system from the bottom upwards.
1 Check the brake fluid level in the common expansion reservoir (1) for the brake system and clutch operating system and if necessary top up to the maximum level.
D29.10-0002-01
2 Plug hose onto the bleed screw of the left front brake caliper and open the bleed screw.
3 With the help of a second person carefully operate the brake pedal until the hose has filled with brake fluid and no more air bubbles are present. Prevent the brake fluid from running out by holding the hose closed.

Presentation does not apply to transmission 711.605/62 (see below)
4.1 Plug the free end of the hose onto the bleed screw (arrow) on the clutch slave cylinder and open the bleed screw.
5.1 Whilst constantly alternating depress the brake pedal, close the bleed screw on the brake caliper, move the brake pedal into the release position and open the bleed screw again until no more bubbles rise in the feed line on the expansion reservoir.
6.1 Tighten the bleed screws on the brake caliper and clutch slave cylinder and pull off hose.

Position of bleed screw (arrow) on transmission 711.605/620/621:
4.2 Plug the free end of the hose onto the bleed screw (arrow) on the central clutch release bearing and open bleed screw.
5.3 Whilst constantly alternating depress the brake pedal, close the bleed screw on the brake caliper, move the brake pedal into the release position and open the bleed screw again until no more bubbles rise in the feed line on the expansion reservoir.
6.3 Tighten bleed screws on the brake caliper and central clutch release bearing and pull off hose .
7 When the engine is running check the clutch for clearance by engaging reverse gear.
8 Check function of clutch operating system as well as leaktightness of the system.
9 Top up brake fluid level in the expansion reservoir to the maximum level. Use brake fluid as per Specifications for Operating Fluids sheet 331.0.
