 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove front right cover over coolant expansion reservoir.

Drain off coolant.

Remove fan unit.

Remove coolant hose (8) and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove coolant hose (6) from cooler (2) and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove coolant hose (1) from cooler (2) and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove coolant hose (7) from cooler (2) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

Unclip coolant line from bottom of cooler (2).

Unclip bracket of oil line from bottom of cooler (2).

Remove air duct segment (10).

Remove screws (11).

Remove cooler (2) from left supporting frame (3) and right supporting frame and remove in downward direction.


While doing so, press oil cooler of automatic transmission to the side.
The cooler (2) will otherwise be damaged.

 Aid of helper required.

Install in the reverse order.

Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.
