3 | Remove coolant pipe on connection piece and on retarder coolant line | Only for vehicles with code (BA1) Performance-optimized Voith retarder or code (BA9) Voith secondary retarder R 115 or for vehicles with transmission 723. | |
Installation: Install new gasket | |||
4 | Remove main fuel filter (2) | Only if coolant line (1) is tightened down at the coolant pump (3) using 4 bolts. | |
5 | Remove coolant line (1) | | |
6 | Remove coolant thermostat (4) | Installation: install new O-rings (5). Observe installation position of coolant thermostat (4). The vent opening (arrow) must point upwards. | |
7 | Test coolant thermostat (4) | Only when reusing the coolant thermostat (4). | |
8 | Install in the reverse order |
