Remove/install

Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Catch the coolant, change it if necessary.

Remove the hose (6) from the thermostatic valve cover (4).

Check the condition of the clamp and the hose (6). If necessary replace them.

Remove the hoses (5) and the cover from the thermostatic valve (4).

Remove the O-ring (3).

Installation: Replace the O-ring (3).

Remove the thermostatic valve (2).

Installation: check the thermostatic valve (2) for correct position; the air outlet hole (arrow) should always be facing up.

Install in reverse order.

Check the coolant level.

Engine cooling system - check fluid level, adjust to correct level. Inspect anticorrosion/antifreeze protection, adjust to correct concentration
