Remove the thermostat valve (1)

Fix a wire in the thermostat valve (1) and immerse it in the container (2) with water

Heat up the water with a suitable heating source (5), while stirring the water to obtain a uniform temperature
Do not use a torch to heat the water.

Measure the water temperature
From 8o C lower than opening start, the temperature cannot be increased by more than 1 to 2o C per minute.
When water temperature reaches the opening start value, the valve will begin to open.

Slowly heat up the water to full stroke temperature (L) of the circuit short valve (1.2)

Slowly heat water to the total opening temperature of the main valve (1.1). After 6 to 8 minutes, the main valve (1.1) will be fully open. Then, measure the opening
If the indicated values are not obtained or if there is any indication of operation fault, the thermostatic valve (1) must be replaced by a new one.
