Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Switch off ignition

Open engine hood and move to vertical position

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Clamp off coolant lines at line fittings (5, 6) using clamping devices



Remove coolant lines from line fittings (5, 6)

 Mark coolant lines (5, 6) in relation to line fittings.

Collect coolant in clean container.

 Installation: Ensure that markings on coolant lines match with line fittings (5, 6). Pour caught coolant back into coolant circuit after installing pump module (8).

Disconnect electrical connector (7) on pump module (8)

 The disconnected electrical connector (7) must not come into contact with AdBlue. This could cause damage in the wiring harness and the SCR frame module control unit.

Check electrical wiring harness

Remove compressed air connector (4) at pump module (8)



Open insulating tubing in area of line fittings (2, 3) to a length of approx. 20 cm and push back



Open insulating tubing in area of AdBlue line fitting (1) to a length of approx. 10 cm and push back.



Clamp off line using a clamping device and remove at AdBlue line fitting (1)



Clamp off AdBlue lines using clamping devices and remove at AdBlue line fittings (2, 3)

 Mark AdBlue lines in relation to line fittings (2, 3).

 Installation: Replace O-rings. Observe identification of AdBlue lines relative to AdBlue line fittings (2, 3).



Remove pump module (8)



Install in the reverse order

Inflate pump module pressure reservoir (8)

 Only when pump module (8) is replaced.



Fill AdBlue pressure reservoir

Check line separation points for leakage.

 Visual inspection.
