1 Remove fuel feed line (3) on fuel prefilter (1) connection "VL" (1.1).

 Collect escaping fuel.

2  Install test equipment (2) with  test lines (2.1) and  fitting (2.3) between fuel feed line (3) and fuel prefilter (1) connection "VL" (1.1).

 Check seal ring on  fitting (2.2) for damage; replace if necessary. The  fitting (2.2) with opening clamp (arrow) must press on check valve in connection (1.1).

3  Removing and attaching test equipment (2) on vehicle frame.

4 Start engine and bleed fuel system, allow engine to run.

5 Carry out the measurement and read off fuel intake pressure on the  testing unit (2).

 Measure at a maximum governed rpm of 2500.

6 Switch off engine.

7  Remove test equipment (2) with  test lines (2.1) and  fitting (2.3).

 Collect escaping fuel.

8 Attach fuel feed line (3) on fuel prefilter (1) connection "VL" (1.1).

 Install new sealing rings.
