1 Detach fuel line (5) at fuel filter housing (6).

Collect escaping fuel.

2 Attach testing unit (1) with high pressure hose (2), banjo union with outer thread (4), double banjo bolt M161.5 (3) and fuel line (5) at the fuel filter housing (6).

In case of vehicles with code (M89), flame starting system (FLA), do not connect fuel line to flame starting system while testing.

3 Start engine and run.

4 Carry out the measurement and read off fuel pressure on the testing unit (1).

Measure at an idle speed of 560 rpm or at a maximum governed rpm of 2080.

5 Switch off engine.

6 Detach testing unit (1) with high pressure hose (2).

If the low pressure fuel circuit is to be checked for leaks , do not detach the testing unit (1) with high pressure hose (2).

7 Attach fuel line (5) and if required, fuel line of the flame starting system.

Install new sealing rings.
