5 | Support the cylinder head by its mating surface and install the valve assembly tool (11) | Apply the additional part (adapter) in the valve assembly tool. | |

6 | Press the valve spring retainer (3) down with the valve assembly tool (11) and remove the valve keepers (2) | Installation: Perfectly fit the valve keepers (2) in the groove of the valve stem (9/ 10) and check the correct seating of the spring retainer (3) on the spring (4/5) and on the valve keepers (2). | |
7 | Relieve the load on the device (11) and remove the spring retainer (3), the spring (4/5) and the spring spacer washer (6) | ||
8 | Remove the valve stem seal (7) from the cylinder head (8). |

Replace the seal, whenever it is and/or the valve is removed. | |||
9 | Rotate the cylinder head and remove the valve (9/10) | Mark the valves and their respective seats. | |
Installation: Oil the valve stem with engine oil and observe the marking. | |||
