Open engine hood

Remove Hall sensor on camshafts

Check

Turn the engine at the crankshaft in the direction of rotation of the engine (arrow) to 55° crankshaft angle before ignition TDC (305° on the belt pulley) and check the basic position of the camshafts

The 305° marking (1) on the belt pulley must be aligned with the guide edge (2) on the timing case and the markings (3) of the pulse wheels must be positioned in the center of the sensor bore holes. If necessary, set the basic position of the camshafts when removing/installing the camshaft adjuster:

Install in the reverse order
