Remove refrigerant compressor (A9) from timing case cover and engine support and lay to one side with attached lines

 Secure A/C compressor (A9) to prevent it from falling down.

Detach coolant hose at thermostat housing

Remove oil dipstick guide tube

Detach clamps and bracket for transmission fluid lines (9L, 9R) from oil pan (2) and transmission (11) and set aside

Do not kink or bend the transmission fluid lines (9L, 9R).
Leaks and damage may occur otherwise.

 Seal openings using stop plugs.

Do not drive in any tools between cylinder crankcase (4) and oil pan (2) to loosen it; heat oil pan (2) in the area of the sealing surfaces if necessary.
The sealing surfaces will be damaged otherwise!

 Installation: Apply sealant to sealing surface of oil pan (2) and, in doing so, observe notes on sealant path on the oil pan (2).
