No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Clean up externally the fuel prefilter

Access to carry out of the maintenance and repair works differs according to the body type/manufacturer
Refer to the body makers instructions.

Remove

Loose the grooved nut, move the mounting clap sidewards e disassemble filter bowl (5) with filter element (3), spring (4), and seal ring (2)

Replace the sealing ring (2).

Wash the observation cup (5) and the filter element (3) with clean diesel oil

Replace filter element (3) if it is very dirty or damaged.

Filter bowl (5) of the prefilter should be replaced if it shows damages on the surface of the sealing.

Install

Put filter element (3) with spring (4) in the filter bowl (5) of the prefilter, position seal ring (2) on filter bowl (5) correctly. Install filter bowl (5) and position correctly the mounting clap and press manually the grooved nut

Slightly grease the new sealing ring (2) with engine oil. Do not use tools to tighten the slotted nut. Before tightening the nut, observe the correct seating of the observation cup (5) and the sealing ring (2).

Breed the air from the fuel system

Apply on the handle of hand pump until you notice hard resistance:

Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
