Immobilizer indicator lamp
The indicator lamp is operated by a switched positive signal
(circuit 15) by the radio frequency locking control module. If a short circuit exists, the output is deactivated and the ignition is not enabled again until after it is switched on.
PWM version (engine 111)
The indicator lamp comes on:
for at least 2 s after ignition "ON".
The indicator lamp is switched off:
approx. 2 s after ignition "ON" provided the immobilizer is deactivated,
if a short circuit exists at the output,
or if the ignition is switched off.
CAN version (engine 601/602)
The indicator lamp comes on:
after ignition "ON" provided the immobilizer is activated,
or if no "Enable" engine status is sent by the engine electronics system 1 s after the ignition is switched on.
The indicator lamp is switched off:
by switching off the ignition,
or after reception of the "Enable" engine status.
Note
In view of the fact that the preglow and immobilizer indicator lamps have been combined to a single indicator lamp (preglow symbol), the following actuation exists in the normal mode (immobilizer deactivated):
The indicator lamp comes on after the ignition is switched on and goes out after the end of the preglow period. The engine can be started.
The indicator lamp is operated by the radio frequency locking control module on models fitted with engine 601/602 (CAN version) only, in other words, if no start enable exists.
