Connecting hand-held tester (HHT), reading fault memory

Only connect and disconnect secondary measurement sensor on appropriate ignition line and trigger clamp on cylinder 1 when the engine is at a standstill and the ignition switched off.
The cable, plug and connectors have been taken into consideration in the test with the HHT and, in the event of a fault display, may have to be re-checked separately for discontinuity, good contact and correct connection in accordance with the electrical circuit diagram in force at the time in question.
