Removing, installing

1 Pull off securing clip (16) and take off washers (15).

2 Unscrew hexagon nuts (1.1), pull out hexagon bolts (1) and take out strut (2).

Installation note

Tightening torque 23 Nm.

3 Lift radiator (17) and detach at the front grille (3).

Installation note

Moisten rubber bushes at radiator with lubricant (arrows).

4 Slacken front grille (3) and raise.

5 Pull off securing clips (13) and detach oil cooler (5).

6 Vehicles with automatic transmission:

Collect gear oil which drains out in a suitable vessel.

Pinch off gear oil lines (11 and 12) and unscrew at the radiator (17).

Installation note

Check level of gear oil; top up gear oil if necessary.

7 Detach coolant hose (6) at the radiator (17).

8 Detach coolant hose (4) at the radiator (17).

9 Remove clips (8).

10 Pull air guide body (10) together with the clips (9) off the radiator.

11 Take out radiator (17).

Installation note

The clearance between fan wheel (7) and air guide body (10) should be the same all round (arrows).

9 Install in the reverse order.
