No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Detach propeller shafts (1) from retarder (7) and tie up

Bolt, propeller shaft flange to retarder

Detach circuit 31 connection (4) from retarder (7)

Detach rubber boot (5)

Remove cover (2)

Nut, cover of electrical connection to retarder

Mark and detach electrical connections (3)

Installation: Do not mix up electrical connections (3) when installing.

Unscrew nuts (6) and remove retarder (7)

Secure retarder (7) against falling down.

Retarder to bracket

Install in the reverse order

Perform test drive with function check
