Detach end cover (14) from rear section of transmission housing (10).

With transmission without power take-off.

Unscrew bolt (26) and remove washer (25)

 Counterhold transmission output flange (24).



Pull off transmission output flange (24) using three-arm puller

 Use thrust piece (dia. 20 mm, length 100 mm).

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (23) on output end using extraction hook and impact extractor



Undo lock bolts (11)

Remove guide pin for shift fork mounting (3)

Remove guide pin for shift fork mounting (22)

Unscrew bolts (16) and remove front part of transmission housing (1) from rear part of transmission housing (10)

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (2) at input end

Detach drive shaft (4) from transmission main shaft (9)

Remove 5th/6th gear shift fork (7) with the sliding blocks (6)

19

Unscrew bolt (15) for reverse gear shaft (19)

20

Screw in bolt M630 (31) on face of axle reverse gear shaft (19) and pull out reverse gear shaft (19)

Slide reverse gear (18) into the rear part of the transmission housing (10)

22

Secure holding device (27) to transmission main shaft (9) and to shift rails with shift forks (8) using cable ties (28)



Screw in bolt of assembly stand (30) and push transmission main shaft (9) out far enough until the countershaft (20) can be lifted out



Fasten shift rails with shift forks (8) to each other using cable ties (29)

Remove reverse gear (18) and needle roller bearing (17)

Remove transmission main shaft (9) and shift rails with shift forks (8)



Remove tapered roller bearing outer races (38, 39) from the rear part of the transmission housing (10)



Remove rear part of transmission housing (10) from assembly stand (30)

Remove tapered roller bearing outer races (32, 34) with counter stay (36) and internal extractor (37) from the front part of the transmission housing (1)



Remove shims (33, 35) from front part of transmission housing (1)



Checking

Check tapered roller bearing (5), meshing and bearing surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (2) on the drive shaft (4) for signs of damage and wear

 Replace damaged or worn parts if necessary:


