No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.

Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards.

Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground.

Only fill liquid battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

 Insulate ground line clamp as a protection against unintentional contact of ground line with ground point of battery.

 Only if right engine mount is removed.

Remove both intake air ducts

Remove front engine cover

 Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.

Remove air filter housing

Raise engine

 Ensure when lifting the engine, that engine is not placed at rear of the body and that the coolant lines, the hydraulic lines and the compressor lines are not overstretched, in order to avoid damage.

Remove engine mount (3) with shield (4)

 Installation: The anti-twist locks (6) for engine mounts (3) must fit in retaining grooves of engine support (5).

 Pay attention to environmental protection regulations for disposal of engine mounts (3). Dispose engine mounts (3) into mixed scrap.

Install in the reverse order

Perform basic programming

 Only if ground lead of battery has been disconnected.
