Remove/install

 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Turn off ignition

Remove lower acoustic encapsulation from the chassis

Drain the coolant on the radiator (1)

Remove the fan (8)

Remove the lower coolant hose (10) on the radiator (1)

 Collect the drained coolant in a clean container.

Remove the oil refueling front line (11) on the oil pan

 Installation: Check the sealing ring, if necessary, replace the oil refueling front line (11).

 Warning

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure it with the safety strut.

Remove the upper right acoustic encapsulation from the chassis

Remove the turbocharger air hoses (4, 13)

 Installation: The turbocharger air hose (red) (4) and the turbocharger air hose (black) (13) must not be interchanged by mistake.

Remove the electrical cable (19) from the coolant expansion reservoir (2) and from the coolant hose (3 or 18)

Remove the coolant hose (3 or 18) on the radiator (1)

Remove the coolant hoses (17) on the coolant lines (14)

 Collect the drained coolant in a clean container.

Remove the coolant hose (16) on the coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Remove the coolant hose (20) from the coolant line (14)

Detach the coolant hose (5) on the coolant outlet neck and cooler (1)

Remove the clamp (22) on the bracket (21)

Loosen the electrical connector (23)

Remove the nuts on the fixing tab (15) at the right side of the cooler support and remove the fixing tab (15)

 Installation: Pay attention to the installation position of the fixing tab (15).

Remove the fastening screws of the cooler mounting bracket (12) on the left side

Press the cooler (1) forward

 Avoid damaging the tubes and aggregate parts.

Loosen the fan electromagnetic clutch (7) along with the fan (8) from the crankshaft (10), and remove it upwards

 Fan in the electro-magnetic clutch

Remove the fan electromagnetic clutch (7) from the fan (8)

 Only if the electromagnetic coupling of the fan (7) or the fan (8) is replaced.

 Fan clutch in the camshaft gear cover/engine block
