Risk of scalding from hot coolant splashing out

Do not open the cap of the expansion reservoir or radiator unless the coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Carefully slacken cap as far as the first detent or one turn. Wear protective clothing.

Detach hose and pipe connections at expansion reservoir (1)

Slacken threaded connections (2) of attachment of reservoir

On model 613.355/ 358/ 388/ 455/ 485 the expansion reservoir is attached by two tensioning straps (3). The tensioning straps are only inserted on the rear and can be removed.

Remove expansion reservoir (1)

Install in the reverse order
