1 | Open engine compartment flap | ||
2 | Open additional flap | ||
Danger! | Risk of scalding from hot coolant spraying out | Do not open cap of the expansion reservoir or radiator unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Turn cap carefully to the first detent or slacken one turn. Wear protective clothing. | |
3 | Drain coolant | Close off shutoff valve (1) for heating system on cooler otherwise the heating system will run empty. | |
Installation: Pour in coolant. | |||

4 | Remove connector hoses (2, 3) | ||
5 | Remove overflow hose (4). | ||
6 | Remove electrical connector for coolant level sensor (5) | ||
7 | Detach vent hose (6) on expansion reservoir | Loosen clamp. | |
8 | Release clamps (7). | ||
9 | Remove expansion reservoir (8) | ||
10 | Install in the reverse order |
