1 | Open the expansion tank's (1) cap | If the vehicle is equipped with heating, actuate the command to the open position. | |
2 | Detach draining cylinder (3) from engine block | Connect the draining cylinder draining hose (3), open and collect the cooling liquid in an appropriate container. | |
3 | Remove the radiator draining cylinder (2) | Collect the coolant in an appropriate recipient. | |
4 | Remove the retarder draining cylinder (4) | Only for vehicles equipped with brake retarder | |

10 | Supply with coolant | Supply the cooling system until reaching the expansion tank's maximum level reference mark. | |

Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
11 | Let the engine operate for 1 or 2 minutes | Allow the engine to operate in varied rpm ranges. | |
If necessary, replenish the coolant. | |||
