Remove/install engine charge air duct upstream of charge air cooler

Remove/install

Remove screw/bolt (1)

Remove rear section of the charge air duct (2) from turbocharger

 Do not allow any dirt particle to find its way into the charge air system.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.

 To do this completely unlock catch spring (3) and remove rear section of the charge air duct (2).

 Installation: Press catch spring (3) into the locking position and place charge air duct (2) on the turbocharger. Check for correct seating of the catch spring (3).

Remove hose for the front section of the charge air duct (2) from the charge air cooler

 Do not allow any dirt particle to find its way into the charge air system.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.

 Both hoses remain on the sections of the charge air duct (2). Do not disconnect clamps.

Remove charge air duct (2)

Install in the reverse order



 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
