	Removing, installing
1	Remove engine brake flap connection		AR14.15-T-6302E
2	Remove air intake hose
	Inspecting
3	Inspect compressor housing and intake pipe for oil leaks	 Charge air passages which are slightly moistened with oil do not have any measurable influence on the oil consumption of the engine. Consequently, this is not an indication of turbocharger damage. If the charge air passages are severely soiled with oil, inspect oil return flow line for damage and flow, replace if necessary. If the result is negative: 
		Remove, install turbocharger	AR09.40-T-6020B
		Remove, install turbocharger	AR09.40-T-6020C
4	Clamp turbocharger in a vise at the exhaust connection	 Use aluminium jaws.
5	Inspect axial play at the rotor shaft	Position dial gage  with dial gage holder  in such a way that the dial gage is touching the face end (1) of the turbine wheel. Apply a pre-tension to dial gage and set to "0". Move rotor shaft axially back and forward; the maximum measurement obtained should be noted.

		Inspect axial play at rotor shaft. If the measurement exceeds the maximum permissible specification: 	*BE09.40-N-1002-01A
		Remove, install turbocharger	AR09.40-T-6020B
		Remove, install turbocharger	AR09.40-T-6020C
6	Inspect radial play of rotor shaft	 Position feeler gage  with dial gage holder  against the side of the hub (2) of the turbine wheel. Apply a pre-tension to feeler lever of dial gage and set to "0". Move rotor shaft radially back and forward; the maximum measurement obtained should be noted.

		Inspect radial play of rotor shaft. If the measurement exceeds the maximum permissible specification: 	*BE09.40-N-1003-01A
		Remove, install turbocharger	AR09.40-T-6020B
		Remove, install turbocharger	AR09.40-T-6020C
7	Install in the reverse order
