Check clutch friction surface on flywheel (1) for scorch marks, score marks or cracks.

If faint score marks or scorch marks are visible:



Rework flywheel (1).

If score marks or cracks are clearly visible and perceptible:



Replace flywheel (1).

Measure minimum flywheel width between friction surface and mounting flange for repairs (E) on flywheel (1).

If the value lies outside the tolerance:



Replace flywheel (1).

Reworking

4

Rework clutch friction surface on flywheel (1) using a brake drum and brake disk turning machine.

 After refacing, there must not be any shrink holes or chatter marks present on the clutch friction surface.
