Previously, the preparatory work for paint and body shell complaints had to be submitted using the separate damage code 60162.
Owing to simplification of warranty and goodwill processing, the separate code is no longer necessary (effective immediately).
All preparatory work for paint and body shell complaints must be encoded via the damaged part and is only allowed to be submitted once per claim. If multiple damaged parts are present, one of the parts must be selected. The relevant operation items must be determined via ASRA and applied depending on the use case. Generally, only one operation item may be used for preparatory work per claim, depending on the repair in question.
The damage code 60162 will be deleted prior to the next release. SI98.00P0001A and SI98.00P0001B will be replaced and will therefore also be invalid.
The operation item numbers can vary between Cars/Vans and old/new models.
If the procedure requires that separate processing (by additional people or on a separate processing day) has to be carried out for removed and installed parts, which makes it necessary to repeat the preparatory work, then this can be mapped with the relevant suitable preparatory work with reasoning in the order.
Each individual operation item for preparatory work includes activities in a repair order that are carried out once.
