This service-information is valid only in combination with the service measure Code "Achsmodul" and applies only to vehicles listed in the enclosed list of vehicles.
In response to recent occurrences we have modified the following
steps in the working instructions for SM42.25-W-0005A:
Steps 1.1 and 1.2:
In vehicles with vehicle end ident. no. up to 403507 the axle modulator must be preserved
Check axle modulator configuration:
Axle modulators have 4 round steel or aluminum covers at the bottom.
-steel covers are marked with an embossed star
-aluminum covers have a smooth surface
Check axle modulator preservation:
Only on vehicles as of vehicle ident. end no. 403508 and axle modulators with steel covers.
Axle modulators with aluminum covers do not need to be checked.
Step 18:
Read off voltage (test value 1):
If multimeter display is not stable, check compressed air system for leaks.
