D. Fuel filter (42)

Installed in the delivery line between fuel pump and injection pump.
The paper filter element is integrated in a metal housing. The paper element has a mean pore size of 0.006-0.01 mm (6-10 mm).

Engine 601 in model 202

A cut-off is installed in the top part of the fuel filter for stopping the engine. It replaces the previous emergency stop lever at the injection pump. The fuel supply is interrupted by turning the cut-off (89).

Owing to the greater delivery capacity of the fuel pump and the chokes in the filter upper part and on the injection pump the fuel system is bled automatically during starting.
