Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove crossmember under instrument panel.

Turn cap of coolant expansion reservoir counterclockwise slowly until overpressure in engine cooling system is reduced.

Disconnect hoses (1).

 Clamp

Detach hoses (1) from connection fittings (2) and seal openings using suitable protective covers.

 Collect escaping coolant in a suitable vessel.

Detach refrigerant line (3) from expansion valve.

Detach refrigerant line (4) from expansion valve.

Detach hose (5) from air conditioner housing (6).

Detach air ducts (7) from air conditioner housing (6).

Detach air conditioner housing (6) with blower housing (8) from guides (9).

Detach blower housing (8) from air conditioner housing (6).

If air conditioner housing (6) is replaced.

Check condition and seating of seal (10).

If seal (10) is damaged:



Install new seal (10).

If seal (10) is not correctly seated on air conditioner housing (6):



Position seal (10) correctly.

Check condition and seating of seals (11).

If a seal (11) is damaged:



Replace corresponding seal (11).

If a seal (11) is not correctly seated on blower housing (8):



Position corresponding seal (11) correctly.

Install in the reverse order

Fill in coolant.
