Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.

Remove/install

Discharge air conditioning system.

Remove air filter housing.

Remove spacer (9) from refrigerant line (1).

Remove refrigerant line (4) from condenser (5).



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Removal:
Immediately seal refrigerant line (4) and condenser (5).
Otherwise the air conditioning system can be damaged.

 To do this, remove bolt (6).

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

Remove refrigerant line (1) from condenser (5).



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

Immediately seal refrigerant line (1) and condenser (5).
Otherwise the air conditioning system can be damaged.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

Remove screw (8).

 Screw, bracket to refrigerant line front connecting point

Remove refrigerant line (3) from vehicle interior expansion valve.



Compressor oils (specification 362.1)

 Removal:
Immediately seal refrigerant line (3) and vehicle interior expansion valve.
Otherwise the air conditioning system can be damaged.

 Unscrew screw/bolt (2) to do this.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil.

Remove refrigerant line (1) from holder (7).

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
