Remove

Remove front fixed element (1) of panoramic sliding sunroof.

Remove sliding roof panel (2).

Remove headliner.

Unscrew nuts (3) and remove brackets of front roof railing (4).

Remove screws (5) and remove mounting supports (6) of panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8).

Release and disconnect electrical connector(7).

Remove outer rear seal.

Mask off adjacent paint surfaces with tape.

Remove tape and prepare body flange of panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8).

Install panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8).

Remove weights for weighting down panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8).


Do not remove weights before reference adhesive bead is completely cured.
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

Install outer rear seal.

If panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8) is reused.

Connect electrical connector (7).

Install mounting supports (6) of panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8).

 First tighten screws (5) at body.

Install brackets of front roof railing (4).

 Installation: Replace seal.

Install headliner.

Install sliding roof panel (2).

If panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8) is reused.

Check

Check strength of adhesively bonded connection by means of the produced reference adhesive bead.


The vehicle may not be moved for at least 10 h after the gluing in of the panoramic sliding sunroof frame (8).
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

Normalize panoramic sliding sunroof using vehicle diagnosis system and perform teach-in run for automatic reversing function.


