1 | Tilt cab | Installation: Only tilt back cab after the leak test. | |
2 | Disconnect ground line of battery | ||
3 | Remove air filter with carrier | Only for vehicles without code M8A (Air intake from the front). | |

4 | Remove heat shield (1) | Screw/bolt, heat shield to exhaust gas turbocharger | |

5 | Remove bracket (2) from the coolant lines (3) | Only on vehicles with code M5Z (Engine version Euro VI). | |
6 | Remove nozzle unit (4) on exhaust pipe (5) | Only on vehicles with code M5Z (Engine version Euro VI). | |
Do not disconnect coolant lines (3) and fuel line on the nozzle unit (4). | |||
7 | Remove holder (6) on exhaust pipe (5) and unfasten on timing case | Bolt, bracket to exhaust pipe | |

8 | Remove clamp (7) | Installation: Replace clamp (7) and sealing ring on exhaust pipe (5). | |

9 | Remove clamp (8) | Installation: Replace clamp (8). | |
Screw/bolt, exhaust flex pipe clamp to exhaust pipe downstream of turbine wheel housing | |||
10 | Remove exhaust pipe (5) | Installation: Clean sealing surfaces on exhaust pipe (5) and turbine wheel housing (9). | |
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
12 | Start engine and perform an engine test run | Allow engine to run at a higher rotational speed. | |
13 | Check area around exhaust pipe (5) for leaktightness | Visual inspection. |
